Velammal School offers classes from Pre-Primary to Middle School
The Kindergarten and Pre-Primary years are an integral part of a child’s education, promoting access to the holistic development of children. Kindergarten comprises LKG and UKG, while Pre-Primary is 1-2 STD. Velammal Academy ensures an environment, where each child is valued, and respected feels safe and secure & evolves as effective communicators. The Academy offer opportunities to explore, experiment & experience the environment through play and activities.
The Primary School is from STD - III to V. Building on the skills that the children acquire in pre-primary, the curriculum is based on teamwork where teachers are the facilitators for group discussions, projects, hands-on activities & experimentation. We foster an interdisciplinary approach to allow multiple and divergent exposures to students to enrich their understanding. Extracurricular activities like art, music and dance are given equal importance.
The Middle School compartment, from VI to VIII, offers a broadened curriculum to match the growing abilities of the children. Subject enrichment activities are aimed to impart effective knowledge. Teaching and learning strategies involve workshops, presentations, group discussions etc. which help the children acquire the skill of organizing knowledge & information. The creativity & talent of the students will be nurtured through competitions being conducted as a part of the club activities.
